INSTALLATION

WARNING! Only a qualified person must install this appliance.

WARNING! Risk of injury or damage to the appliance.

• Remove all the packaging.
• Do not install or use a damaged appliance. If the appliance is damaged in any way, do not use it.
Report the damage to your dealer, who will take the necessary corrective action.
• Follow the installation instructions supplied with the appliance.
• Keep the minimum distance from other appliances and units.
• Always take care when moving the appliance as it is heavy. Always use safety gloves and enclosed
footwear.
• Protect the bottom of the appliance from steam and moisture. Seal the cut surfaces of counter tops
with a sealant to prevent moisture to cause swelling.
• Surfaces and surrounding edges immediately adjacent to the hob should be able to withstand
temperatures of up to 100°C without delaminating or discolouring.
• Do not install the appliance adjacent to a door or under a window. This prevents hot cookware falling
from the appliance when the door or the window is opened.
• If the appliance is installed above drawers make sure that the space, between the bottom of the
appliance and the upper drawer, is sufficient for air circulation.
• The bottom of the appliance can get hot. To shield the user from this hot surface, make sure to install
a removable separation panel made from plywood, kitchen carcass material or other non-flammable
materials under the appliance to prevent access to the bottom.
• It is recommended that the separation panel be fitted at least 75mm from the bottom face of the
worktop. The space between the bottom of the appliance and the separation panel should be empty
and no object should be stored there. The panel needs to be removable for service purposes as the hob,
once installed, can only be loosened from below.
