Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a
power tool. Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious
personal injury.
Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection. Safety equipment such as
dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hardhat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
Avoid accidental starting. Be sure valve is off.
Carrying tools with your finger on the valve, or the machine being connected to
pneumatic supply, invites accidents.
Remove any adjusting key or wrenches before turning the tool on. A wrench or a
key that is left attached to a rotating part of the tool may result in personal injury.
Do not overreach. Keep a proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing
and balance enables better control of the tool in unexpected situations.
Keep hands away from cutting area and blade. Keep your second hand on
auxiliary handle. If both hands are holding the circular saw, they cannot be cut by
the blade.
Do not reach underneath the work piece. The guard cannot protect you from the
blade below the work piece.
Adjust the cutting depth to the thickness of the work piece. Less than a full tooth
of the blade teeth should be visible below the work piece.
Never hold piece being cut in your hands or across your leg. Secure the work
piece to a stable platform.
It is important to support the work properly to minimize body exposure, blade
binding or loss of control.
When ripping, always use the rip fence. This improves the accuracy of cut and
reduces the chance for blade binding.
Always use blades with correct size and shape (round versus diamond) spindle
holes. Blades that do not match the mounting hardware of the saw will run
eccentrically. Causing loss of control.
