Cleaning
To clean the case, display, and buttons
The exterior surfaces of UniGo products are
made from plastic box with a plastic overlay.
They are designed to be easily wiped clean
with a dry, lint free cloth.
Greasy marks should be removed by light
rubbing with a slightly damp cloth and a trace
of proprietary glass cleaner.
Do not use any other solvent or abrasive
based cleaners.
Sensors and cables
Special care on cable and sensors
The cables and connectors used are of high
quality, but you still need to handle them with
care.
• Never tighten the connectors using
any tools. Only tighten them with you
fingers.
• Do not tighten cable ties too hard. You
do not want them to destroy the cable.
• Do not bend the cables too hard. A too
hard bend might destroy a cable.
• Make sure not to pull the cable during
driving. When the the steering wheel is
turning, it might pull the cable. Make a
loop on the cable to avoid this and make
the steering wheel move freely.
• If the wire shield is damaged the cable
or sensor needs to be replace. A de-
stroyed shield is the same as letting a lot
of electrical noise into the Laptimer, and
that can affect its performance.
Winter storage
Special care of batteries
The batteries need special care if not used for
a long time.
A LiPo battery need to be charged regularly. If
it is allowed to discharge completely it might
get damaged. Please recharge the LiPo battery
with regular intervals when not used.
If the normal battery holder is used, please
remove the batteries to avoid leaking when not
used for a long time.
It is also a good idea to dismount the UniGo
and store it in the supplied box at room tem-
perature during the winter period.
