If the clamp stops due to contact with the travel limiter, it can only be operated in
the opposite direction.

•

Once the clamp reaches the limiter and is stopped the operator can:
1. Push the travel limiter further away from the clamp and push the button to steer
the clamp in the same direction as the travel limiter has been moved. Clamp will
stop again when hitting the travel limiter again.
2. Steer the clamp in the opposite direction by pushing the UP/DOWN button.

4. Securing the bike in the clamp:

•

Move the clamp to desired position by operating the 1693EL as explained in Step 2.
Make sure the travel limiters are out of the way and will not stop the clamp before
reaching the desired position.

•

Clamp is fixed in place with threads through the T-handle above the clamp and can
freely rotate 360°.

•

To rotate the clamp, turn the T-handle counterclockwise and rotate the clamp to the
desired position. To fix the clamp in desired position turn the T-handle clockwise.

•

For proper clamp operation please check detailed instructions enclosed with the
clamp.

5. Automatic safety stopping mechanism:

Unior Electric repair stand 1693EL features a build in safety system that ensures safety of
technician, bike and the stand. Two built-in sensors that will immediately stop the motor
when a certain force is exceeded while the clamp is moving up or down.

•

Red blinking LED lights on control panel indicates that the safety mechanism has

been triggered.

•

When the safety mechanism has been triggered, the clamp can only able to steered
in the opposite direction of the load causing the overload or unloaded if needed.

When lowering the bike to the floor the same safety mechanism stops the stand, meaning
the clamp will be only able to travel back up. Before lowering the bike to the floor, we
recommend rotating the bike and clamp so that the wheels are level with the floor. The
goal is to have both wheels touch the ground at the same time.

Maintenance

Before performing any kind of maintenance or cleaning on the stand the power cable
should be unplugged.

It is recommended that every 100 hours of use the drive chain be lightly lubricated. A com-
mon dry chain lube can be used for this, and only a minimal amount is required.

Clean the stand by wiping it with a dry cloth.

In the case that repair is needed please contact your local Unior distributor. A list of current
distributors for each country is available on www.uniortools.com under the contact tab.
