First Time Installation
1. Connect the adapter. Plug the large part of the adapter
into the wall outlet and the adapter tip to the jack at the
rear side of unit. (Use only 9V DC, 200mA, center positive
Class 2 adapter.)
2. Connect the telephone line cord.
A. To connect without an answering machine.
• Take the new line cord to connect the PHONE jack
of your new caller ID phone to the modular wall jack.
B. To connect with an existing answering machine.
• Use the existing line cord supplied to connect the
LINE jack of your answering machine to the wall
modular line jack
• Take the new line cord supplied to connect the tel-
ephone’s jack of your new caller ID phone to the
PHONE jack of your answering machine.
• Set your answering machine to answer the phone
after 2 or more rings.
3. Follow the procedure “Setting Up Your Unit” to set up your
unit.
4 Place the unit on a flat table or mount it onto a wall. If you
desire to place it onto a wall, please use the wall mount
bracket and short line cord supplied to accomplish the
wall mounting.
Wall Mounting
1. Remove the
Handset
from the
Handset Cradle
and slide
the plastic
Handset Tab
(located just below the
Hook
Switch ) up and out of its slot.
2. Turn the Handset Tab around and reinsert the tab back
into its slot so that the plastic tab extends outward acting
as a hook to hold the
Handset
when mounted on the wall.
3. Turn the phone over so that you are looking at the bottom
of the phone. Attach the removable Wall Mount Bracket
into the
Wall Mount Slots
at the bottom of the phone.
The back of the phone should then have two round plas-
tic holes which can be used to hang your phone on the
wall.
4. Once attached to the phone, use the
Wall Mount Bracket
to hang this unit on the wall plate in the wall.
If you do not wish to mount your phone on the
wall, the Wall Mount Bracket can be reversed
and installed closer to the top of the unit’s base
above the battery compartment during installa-
tion in order to raise the angle of the phone’s
LCD when sitting on a table or desk.

L’installation initiale de votre nouveau
téléphone
1.Raccor dez le cordon de l’adaptateur secteur CA dans la
prise d’entrée de la f iche de l’adaptateur CC, située à
l’arrièr e du socle. N’utilisez l’appareil qu’a vec une
source d’alimentation polar isée de classe 2 de 9 V CC,
300 mA dotée d’un adaptateur secteur CA/CC.
2.Br ancher le f il téléphonique.
A.Br anchement sans répondeur téléphonique.
• Utilisez le fil téléphonique inclus pour r elier la
prise “PHONE” de v otre nouv eau téléphone av ec
affi cheur à la pr ise modulaire.
B.Br anchement av ec répondeur téléphonique.
• Utilisez le fil téléphonique inclus et br anchez-le à la
prise LINE de v otre tépondeur téléphonique, puis à
la prise modulair e.
• Utilisez le nouveau f il téléphonique inclus pour le
branc her à la prise de v otre téléphone av ec
affi cheur , puis à la pr ise PHONE de votr e
répondeur numérique.
• Régler votr e répondeur nu mérique pour que celui-
ci réponde après 2 sonneries ou plus.
3.V euillez vous référ er à la section “Régler de v otre
téléphone” pour plus de détails.
4. Déposez l’appareil sur une tab le ou installez-le au mur . V euillez
utiliser la plaque de montage mu ral ainsi que le f il
téléphonique court inc lus pour installer le téléphone au mur .
Montage mural
1.Retir ez le combiné du socle et glissez la languette de
plastique (située sous le croc het commutateur) v ers le haut
pour le retirer .
2.Retour nez le crochet comm utateur et re mettez-le en place
de façon à ce que le cr ochet r essorte v ers l’extér ieur pour
vous per mettre de r accroc her le combiné lorsque le soc le
est installé au mur.
3. Retournez le téléphone pour v oir le dessous de l’appareil. Fixez
la plaque mu rale amo vible dans les encoc hes d’installation mu rale
sous le téléphone. Deux ouv ertur es rondes devr aient maintenant
se trouver à l’ar rièr e du téléphone pour vous per mettre de f ix er
le téléphone au mur.
4.Lor sque la plaque est en place à l’arrièr e du téléphone,
fix ez le téléphone au mur .
Si vous ne désir ez pas installer le téléphone au mur , la
plaque d’installation mur ale peut être r etournée et
fixée près du haut du soc le, au-dessus du compar timent
des piles de façon à c hanger l’angle de l’écr an AC L
lorsque le téléphone est installé sur une ta ble ou un
bureau.
