the scanner sounds an alert beep to notify you that the channel has become active. You can choose any of 9 different
beep types. Once you choose an alert tone, then:
Set Level

- the scanner automatically sets the channel alert beep to match the master volume level.
Level 1

- the scanner adjusts the volume of the beep to the level you select.
Searching and Storing
Service Search
Service Search lets you select and search the scanner’s preprogrammed search ranges. During service search, the scanner
searches starting with the lowest frequency in the search range you select to the highest frequency in the range. There are two ways
to do this.

The scanner searches the service you selected, stopping on any transmission it finds and displaying the frequency. Turn the Scroll
Control to change the search direction. An arrow appears, showing the current search direction.
To pause searching, press
[HOLD/RESUME]

To lock out a frequency found while searching, press
