MHS338BT Radio Owner’s Manual

Soft Key

Description

COMP

The COMPASS (

COMP

) soft key activates the compass screen.

C-UP

(Course Up) or

N-UP

(North Up) displays on the LCD.

Select

C-UP

N-UP

MENU

GPS/DIRECTION

NAVI

Select this soft key to select a previously stored route or
waypoint as your destination.

WPT

Waypoints are location coordinates you've saved to the
Waypoint Directory from

MENU

WAYPOINT SETUP

. Select the

WPT

soft key to select waypoints from the Waypoint Directory

to navigate to.

NOTE: You can save up to 250 directories. If that limit is

exceeded, MEMORY FULL displays.

TXT

TEXT. You can send and receive text messages, review text
messages, and turn Bluetooth on and off through this soft key.

NOTE: You can send texts from your radio or from your

mobile device using the Uniden Marine II app,

available for Android and iOS.

BACKLT

Backlight. Press the

BACKLT

soft key to change the backlight

color (white or amber)

MMSI

Press this soft key to display the radio's MMSI number.

SPKR

If you drop the radio in water, select the

SPKR

soft key to sound

a loud tone. The vibrations from this tone help remove water
from the speaker.

GPS

The

GPS SAT SIGNAL

screen displays satellites' locations,

numbers, and signal strengths.

NOTE: Satellites with valid signal data display as black bars

and black dots. Satellites with invalid signal data

display as white bars and white dots.

WX ALT

Weather Alert. Press to turn Weather Alert on and off. The WX
Alert icon (

) displays when Weather Alert is turned on.

MK POS

Mark Position. The

MK POS

soft key saves your current location

in the Waypoint Directory as

Mark xxx

unless you change the

position name.
