5.0 Border fertilisation using TL10 discs in line with the mineral fertiliser standards
Border fertilisation taking into account the distance between the first path and the field
border has been described in section 5.1 and illustrated in fig. above.
Examples:
Distribution diagram
fertiliser
working width
– calcium ammonium nitrate gran. 27% N
– 18 m
The distribution diagrams may significantly differ from the one presented above
for other working widths
for other fertilisers
For the purpose of blade adjustment, fertilisers have been divided into 6 groups
(see the table on p. 38)
Blade adjustment consequences:
a) change in the blade position in a disc hole: changing to a higher value on the
scale increases the distribution width, the fertiliser range raised;
b) change in the blade length: increasing the blade length increases the
distribution width, flat fertiliser range.
5.1. Border fertilisation taking into account the distance between the first path and the
field border
Distribution of the fertiliser beyond the border (e.g. when working along a ditch,
water reservoir or road) is unacceptable.
A field strip from the border, with a width of 2
–6 m depending on the distance from
the first path, receives less fertiliser. To improve the crosswise fertiliser distribution,
it is recommended to reduce the rate from the side of the border by the value given
in the table below.
