DAVE ALARM CONFIGURATION
The KC5300 camera’s alarm port can be used for normally open
or normally closed alarms. Programming of the alarm polarity is
accomplished through the DAVE configuration setup.
In DAVE-based systems, alarms can be connected to the
individual camera or to the DAVE Loop Encoder.
To connect an alarm to the camera, do the following:
A. Locate the wires connected to
the alarming device.
B. Insert these wires into the
camera’s terminal block through
the side opening.
C. Tighten the screws to secure the
wires. Do not over tighten the
screws.
In applications where the alarming device is connected directly to
the camera, an alarm is reported to the DAVE Loop Encoder via
the DAVE Loop Cable.
NOTE:
This feature is only available when using the camera in a
DAVE-based system.
3.3
DAVE DUAL OUTPUT CONFIGURATION
The KC5300 is equipped with dual video outputs, meaning that
the camera simultaneously outputs standard video and DAVE
video. This allows parallel operation of a DAVE-based
multiplexing and management system with new or retrofit
conventional CCTV systems using a single camera.
A. The DAVE video output connects to the DAVE loop, which is
picked up by the Loop Encoder for multiplexed recording.
B. The standard video output can be used with any conventional
video display, recording or processing device.
