Close the battery compartment cap by
screwing it in carefully. If necessary, you can
use a coin as a tool to tighten the cap.
NOTE! Recharge the batteries before
installing them in the device.
4. Starting up the device
When you have inserted the battery and
fastened the battery compartment cap, hold
the device in your hand so that the connector
for the external GSM-antenna is pointing to
your left. Take the device outside so that it has
an unobscured field of view to the satellites.
The red LED-light on the left hand side will
flash when the device is starting up and as it
will begin searching for satellites it will flash
in sets of three.
When the device has found a sufficient
number of satellites for tracking, the LED-
light on the left hand side will flash regularly
approximately once each second.
It is good to wait until the device has found
the satellites before the collar is put on a
dog. It is recommended to acquire a location
from the device before releasing the dog so
that you can verify that the batteries are
sufficiently charged and that the device is
operating normally.
NOTE! If the SIM-card is not installed
correctly or the SIM-card lock is not disabled
from the SIM-card in the collar, the device will
not start up completely and the red LED-light
will remain lit.
4.1 Putting the collar on the dog
When you have completed the setup for the
device, you can put the collar on the dog.
Tighten the collar to a suitable tightness
and fasten the buckle carefully. Place the
device on the dog’s neck so that the battery
compartment will remain underneath the
