9. Connecting to your TV
Plug the HDMI cable into your TV, with the smaller end (mini HDMI connector) plugging into your tablet.
You may need to activate the HDMI output, to do this tap the
App Drawer
button and tap the
HDMI
Switcher
icon. From here you can simply tap the resolution you require, e.g. 720p Output. You will then be
asked to confirm the resolution, if the image is displaying correctly on your TV, tap Ok.
Please note not all TVs can display 1080p content. If your screen remains black, do not touch the screen
of the tablet, after 10 seconds the tablet screen will come back on, you can then try a lower resolution.
10. Battery Saving Tips
Keep the display brightness as low as possible -The screen uses the most amount of battery on
your device.
If you’re not using the WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS turn it off – The toggles in the status bar can be used to
turn these off when not in use.
Reduce the screen timeout time – Changing the amount of time the screen sits idle before turning
off means you won’t waste battery when you stop using the device.
Turn off background data – Stopping applications updating and emails syncing can reduce the
amount of battery used.
Stop widgets from updating regularly – Some widgets will automatically update every few hours,
especially news widgets; turn these off to reduce battery usage.
Do not use live wallpapers – Live wallpapers use a lot of CPU and GPU power, therefore they use a
lot of battery.
