d) check the position of power switch . It must be in "О" position;
e) connect the clamp to a protective grounding using grounding wire.
OPERATING WITHOUT GROUNDING IS PROHIBITED!
f) connect the power supply cable to a socket 220 V on the Rear panel of
the Oil tester (in case of mains operation).
Check the battery charge (when operating from the built-in battery). If
necessary, connect the power cable to the 220 V socket on the rear panel of
the Oil tester, connect it to the mains and set the power switch in position
"I" and charge the built-in battery.
3.2 Preparation of the cell
When preparing a cell for the first use it is necessary to:
a) treat the cell with a suitable solvent to remove all residues of the
previous liquid;
b) rinse with clean dehydrated liquid of the type to be tested, drain and fill again;
c) check the gap between the electrodes in the cell. If the working surface
of the reference caliber " " passes freely in the gap, and the working surface
" " does not pass, the gap is set correctly. Otherwise it is necessary to adjust
the gap by shifting the electrodes with wrench 11×14 and round wrench.
