1. Setting up the display unit
Load enclosed batteries if this has not
already been done (see page 47 “Battery
replacement”).
If you want to use mains electricity, insert
the plug of the mains adapter (extra) into
the socket on the right-hand side of the
device.
The batteries will be switched off auto-
matically.
2. Fitting the cuff
Bare your left upper arm. Fit the cuff to
your arm placing its lower end 2 to 3 cm
(about 1 inch) above the elbow and the
pipe lying in the middle of the crook of
the arm.

Display unit operation
Please check to ensure that the arrow on the cuff
is positioned in between the white marking on the
cuff edge (circumference 23-43 cm).
