PRODUCT SELECTION:

PREVIOUS RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE:
• A complete clinical examination of the patient (symptoms and needs) must be carried out.
• The consent of the patient or legal guardian is required before using the product. The use of sling products must be explained to the patient or guardian in question to ensure their cooperation.
• Sling products must be used according to the Individualized Care Plan (ICP) of the patient in question. ICP constitutes an evaluation carried out by an interdisciplinary team which may include
(without any restriction): Occupational or physical therapy OT, Medicine and Social Services. ICP Plan should include recommendations about restorative nursing, patient’s release and pain’s
prevention.
NOTE:
Considering that patient’s behavior is not 100% predictable, no product is 100% infallible. Patient’s safety requires a regular re-evaluation and supervision. A product that has worked in the past
may be inappropriate if mental and physic conditions of the patient have been modified. NEVER use an unsafe product. Please contact the responsible medical authority if you have questions about
patient’s safety.
ADDITIONAL WARNINGS:
1.
A regular supervision of immobilization process of the patient must
ALWAYS
be carried out by qualified staff.
A constant supervision should be required to:
• Patients with an aggressive and agitated behaviour.
• Patients who are in danger of swallowing its own vomit. This fact includes patients in a supine position or being unable to seat by themselves.
• Be ready to react when a danger sign occurs. These patients require both a regular examination and an evaluation of their physical and psychological status.

This product must
NEVER
be modified nor repaired. The condition of the product must
ALWAYS
be verified before using it (emergence of flaws or broken pieces, orifices, cuts, deteriorations,
dysfunctions with the magnet or Iron Clip closures, etc.). Do
NOT
use dirty or damaged products. Therefore, this fact may cause severe lesions or even death may occur. Damaged products must be
disposed of.
3.
Straps must
ALWAYS
be fixed to an immobile part of the bed or the chair’s edge out of reach of patients (by making quick loops or using buckles). These kinds of slings provide better release
process in case of accident or fire risk. Straps mustn’t press or slip. If this occurs, the patient can slip from the chair or bed (emergence of severe lesions or suffocation). Removing slings from patients
constitute an important activity in case of fire risk or catastrophes in facilities. Straps can be cut with scissors in case of emergency.
4.
Ubiotex products must
NEVER
be used on toilets, chairs or furniture not allowing its correct use as indicated in the Directions for use.
5.
Ubiotex products must
NEVER
be exposed to flames, fire, smoking materials or high heat sources. Some products can melt or get burned. The smoking/ no smoking policy must be strictly
implemented.
6. NONE
Ubiotex product can be used as a security belt in a vehicle in motion. The design of Ubiotex products doesn’t support collisions or sudden stops.

Try zippers or closures (buckles, magnet or iron clip) before each use. Dispose of the product if it doesn’t work correctly.
STORAGE AND MANIPULATION:
• This product has been designed to be used in regular interior areas, hospitals, etc.
• This device can be stored at ambient room temperatures with normal humidity levels.
• Avoid humidity excess or humidity conditions that may damage the product’s materials.
