OWNER’S MANUAL

These instructions are in two parts
(please read both parts before operating):

1. This Owner’s Manual tells you about
basic operation and battery installation.
2. The "How to Play" instructions give you
detailed instructions for game play.

Please read all consumer and safety infor-
mation before operating. Keep all instruc-
tions for future reference: they contain
important information.

The pursuit robot is not radio-controlled.
It uses infrared technology to track and

V.  BATTERY INSTALLATION

(1) Vehicle

❶

Open battery doors as shown.

❷

Insert 4 LR6 (AA) batteries, with polarity
(+/-) as shown inside battery compart-
ments.

❸

Replace battery doors.

CAUTION: Flip arm can be activated

during handling. Keep clear of the flip arm
when handling.

(2) Transmitter

❶

Open battery cover as shown.

❷

Install one 6LR61 (9V) battery with
polarity (+/-) as shown inside battery
compartment.

❸

Replace battery cover.

(3) Robot

❶

Rotate battery latch to unlocked posi-
tion.

❷

Open battery door as shown.

❸

The robot operates on 6 LR6 (AA) bat-
teries. To install, slide battery dividers
up to top of battery compartment and
install three batteries, with polarity (+/-)
as shown inside battery compartment.
Slide battery dividers back down until
they are touching the three batteries
you just installed. Now install three
more batteries, with polarity (+/-) as
shown inside battery compartment.

❹

Replace battery door and rotate battery
latch to locked position.

VI.  IMPORTANT INFORMATION

Notes to Adults:

To ensure that the child’s play is both safe
and fun, please review all operating
instructions and safety rules with your
child.

Safety Tips

CAUTION:

• Flip arm can be activated during han-

dling. Keep clear of the flip arm when
handling.

• NEVER drive your vehicle on streets!

They’re for real cars!

• DO NOT pick up vehicle while in motion.
• Keep fingers, hair and loose clothing

away from the tires and the wheel hubs
while the vehicle is switched ON.

• Adult supervision is recommended when

this vehicle is being operated.

• To avoid accidental operation, remove all

batteries when not in use.

BATTERY SAFETY INFORMATION

• Insure that battery polarity is correct.
• Use only batteries of the type recom-

mended (or equivalent).

• Do not mix old and new batteries.
• Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-

zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries.

• Remove used-up batteries immediately.

Remove batteries if vehicle will not be
used for a long period.

• Do not recharge non-rechargeable bat-

teries.

• Do not short-circuit terminals.
• Remove rechargeable batteries before

recharging (if the batteries are designed
to be removable).

• Recharge batteries only under adult

supervision (if the batteries are designed
to be removable).

Battery Performance Note:

This is a high-performance product that
needs lots of power. The product is sup-
plied with standard alkaline batteries. For
best performance, we STRONGLY RECOM-
MEND that you replace those batteries,
when necessary, with extra-high-perform-
ance alkaline batteries. Battery life may
vary depending on battery brand.

VII.  IMPORTANT INFORMATION

1.

CAUTION: Flip arm can be activat-

ed during handling. Keep clear of the
flip arm when handling.

2. If the flip arm does not spring out after

three hits, reset the mechanism by hold-
ing the vehicle right-side-up while mov-
ing the mode switch from unlocked
position to locked position  – then back
to unlocked position.

3. For long-term storage, store the vehicle

with the flip arm released. Storing the
vehicle this way will maintain best per-
formance.

4. To operate the vehicle as a full-function

R/C – without the robot – hold the vehi-
cle right-side-up while moving the mode
switch to locked position. This will lock
the flip arm. Move the mode switch
back to unlocked position (while holding
the vehicle right-side-up) to unlock the
flip arm for robot pursuit action.

5. If you are taking a quick "break" from

play – or if you are transporting your
vehicle from one place to another - –
hold the vehicle right-side-up while
moving the mode switch to locked posi-
tion. This will lock the flip arm. Move the
mode switch back to unlocked position
(while holding the vehicle right-side-up)
to unlock the flip arm for robot pursuit
action.

VIII.  QUICK TIPS

1. When the vehicle or robot starts to lose

power, it may lose functions or perform-
ance. It's time for fresh batteries.
Running time may change depending on
your driving style.

2. Radio interference can make your vehi-

cle run badly. Interference can be
caused by other R/C vehicles running
on the same frequency; electrical wires;
large buildings; or CB radios. Try to stay
away from these!

3. Point your transmitter antenna up - not

down toward your vehicle. If your vehi-
cle gets too far away, it won't work
properly.

4. Don’t drive in sand or through water or

snow. If the vehicle or robot does get
wet, allow it to dry thoroughly overnight
before operating again.

5. Don’t store the vehicle or robot near

heat or in direct sunlight. Always turn
switches OFF and remove all batteries
for storage.

6. The best tracking range is 3-4 meters

between vehicle and robot.

7. For best performance when playing

indoors, make sure the vehicle’s 3-posi-
tion power switch is set to "indoor" posi-
tion [GRAPHIC]. For best performance
when playing outdoors, make sure the
vehicle’s 3-position power switch is set
to "outdoor" position [GRAPHIC].
