8.1 Check flushing
8.2 Service / replacing the pump
Step 1
Turn the spindle [B] to the "S" position.
The slot is now horizontal, while the flat section
points to the left.
Set the supply ball valve [1] to the operating posi-
tion; set the return ball valve [2] to a 45° setting.
Connect the filling hose to the boiler filling and
drain valve [4a].
Connect the drain hose to the boiler filling and
drain valve [4b].
Open the boiler filling and drain valves and con-
duct the controlled flushing procedure as illustrat-
ed.
Close the boiler filling and drain valves again after
the flushing procedure.
Step 2
Rotate the flow meter spindle [B] to the "E" posi-
tion.
The slot is now horizontal, while the flat section
points to the right.
Shut off the supply ball valve [1]; set the return
ball valve [2] to the operating position.
Connect the drain hose to the boiler filling and
drain valve [4a].
Connect the filling hose to the boiler filling and
drain valve [4b].
Open the boiler filling and drain valves [4a, 4b]
and conduct the controlled flushing procedure as
illustrated.
Then shut off the boiler filling and drain valves
[4a, 4b] again.
Turn the ball valves to the operating position.
Service / replacing the
pump
Close the return ball valve [2].
Turn the spindle [B] to the "E" position.
The slot is now horizontal, while the flat section
points to the right.
Close the boiler filling and drain valve [4a] and
open boiler filling and drain valve [4b].
The heat transfer fluid in the pump can now be
discharged.
When service work is complete all of the ball
valves must be turned back to the operating posi-
tion.
