5.3.1 Installing the welding adapter

Proceed as follows to attach the welding sleeve:

„ If necessary, screw in an auxiliary tool to prevent damage from heat on the welding
sleeve.
„ Carry out the welding as shown in the following figure. Allow for a reasonable time
between the welding seams in order to avoid heat damage.

The welding shall be done according to EHEDG Doc 9 with polishing to R

< 0,8 µm as post-
treatment.
