FAULT DIAGNOSIS
The following simple checks may be performed by the operator. If the machine is still not working, please contact your local Service Agent:
Trouble Reason Remedy
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The machine does not start up
•
Lack of voltage/electrical supply
•
Check fuse *, power cord, plug and socket outlet
Switch is turned on.
Intermittent power to motor •
Defective switches
•
Contact service agent
VACUUM SYSTEM
Loss of vacuum suction
•
Drain valve open
•
Close drain valve. Recovery tank lid must be closed
•
Vacuum hose is damaged
•
Replace vacuum hose
•
Vacuum hose is blocked
•
Clean the machine and remove any blockages
•
Vacuum hose is disconnected
•
Connect vacuum hose
•
Damaged recovery tank lid
•
Replace recovery tank lid
•
Vacuum float cage is blocked, or
ball is stuck
•
Check vacuum float cage for debris and clean.
Check ball is not stuck in top position.
•
Vacuum motor exhaust blocked
•
Contact service agent
•
Vacuum motor is not working
•
Contact service agent
Ball float is stuck in top position •
Ball float coated with detergent
or other foreign material
•
Remove and rinse ball float with clean water and
refit
Foam/dirty solution - coming out
of vacuum exhaust port •
Too much foam
•
Use additional defoamer or use less chemical
•
Carpet full of chemical
•
Use with only water until over foaming stops
SOLUTION SYSTEM
Pump motor on, cannot hear
pump motor running
•
Faulty pump
•
Contact service agent
Pump motor on, can hear pump
motor running but no spray
through jets •
Blocked jet
•
Remove jets and run without jets. If good flow of
water, then clean or replace jets
•
Solution filter is blocked
•
Remove filter and clean
Spray from jet is weak or uneven •
Blocked jet
•
Remove jets and run without jets. If good flow of
water, then clean or replace jets
•
Solution filter is blocked
•
Remove filter and clean
•
Pump not primed
•
Plug priming hose into solution connection and
place end in solution tank. Run pump for 30
seconds.
•
Faulty pump
•
Contact service agent
* If the fuse blows several times, the machine should be checked by an authorised Service Agent.
