8. Troubleshooting
Problem
Cause
Possible solution
The mouse
pointer does not
move.
The mouse is not connected
or is not connected correctly.
Connect the mouse correctly to the PS/2 port
(see chapter 2) and restart your computer.
The surface is too
smooth/slippery, e.g. glass.
Use a different surface to move the mouse over.
