Mode
Function
Description
PC Mode
Set the camera to this mode if you wish to use the
camera as a webcam or as a removable disk on
your computer. This function is the same as for
the ‘Capture’ mode.
Setup
Select the various camera functions here. These
functions are the same as the setup functions in
the ‘Capture’ mode.
Video
mode
Exit
Exits the menu.
Erase one
Deletes the selected photograph from the
memory. Select ‘Yes’ to confirm the deletion.
Erase all
Deletes all the photographs from the memory.
Select ‘Yes’ to confirm the deletion.
DPOF
DPOF (Digital Print Order Format) is enabled. You
can use this option if your printer supports DPOF,
so that you can send the photographs in the
camera directly to the DPOF printer.
Note:
See the instruction manual provided with
your printer to see whether it supports DPOF.
Format
Memory
Formats the internal memory or a SD/MMC
memory card. Select ‘Yes’ to confirm the
formatting.
Note:
The SD/MMC memory card must be
formatted before it can be used to store
photographs.
PlayBack
mode
Exit
Exits the menu.

Formatting the memory
If you use a SD or MMC memory card, it must first be formatted before you can take
photographs. Follow the instructions given below to do this.
1.
Insert the memory card into your camera as described in chapter 4.2.
2.
Turn the camera on using the
ON/OFF button (D) (see figure 4). A green
LED next to the viewfinder (F) will be lit and the LCD screen (J) will be turned
on automatically.
3.
Set the camera to the ‘PlayBack’ mode
using the button (H) (see figure 4).
4. Press
the
‘Menu’ button (G) to call up the ‘PlayBack’ menu.
5. Press
the
DOWN ARROW button (G) to scroll through the ERASE menu
to FORMAT MEMORY.
6.
Press the OK button (G) and then select YES. Press OK again to confirm the
formatting of the memory.
7. A
beep
will be heard and the LCD screen will display the message ‘No
pictures in memory’. The SD/MMC memory card has now been formatted.
