Carbon Brush Replacement
• It is necessary to replace worn carbons (or burnt, broken
or smaller then 0.19” long) with new carbons.
• Replace both carbon brushes every time you need to
replace them.
• Remove the worn carbons from the carbon housing and
use compressed air to remove the accumulated dust.
• Set the new carbons reversing the order, carbons should
easily drop into the housings.
• After setting the new carbon brushes allow the tool to
run unloaded 10 minutes so allow the carbons to adjust
better.
• Use only spare carbon brushes
with the adequate electric resistance for each type of
motor. Carbon brushes that are out of specifications may
damage the motor.

Problem Cause Solution
If you notice an increase of the motor housing temperature, and the tool is too warm to hold, shut it off and allow it to
reach room temperature. Before using it again verify the cutting discs are not worn. Failure to comply with this indication
will permanently damage the tool.
Depending on the use is possible that the switch will not have the same useful life than the tool. In the event the switch
has a failure on the OFF position, the tool will not start. If it fails when the tool is running, is possible you will no be able to
shut off. In any of these situations disconnect the tool immediately and do not use it until is repaired.
