10. Troubleshooting
Problem:
The DVR is not starting up or no power to the unit
Solution:
Check the AC power cord to make sure it is well seated in the DVR and the wall outlet.
Problem:
The DVR is powered, but nothing shows up on the screen.
Solution:
Turn the power key ON to OFF and back to ON again.
Problem:
Distorted picture
Solution:
Sometimes a small amount of picture distortion may appear depending on the
camera or monitor connected. This is not a malfunction.
Problem:
Completely distorted picture
Solution:
Check the monitor and camera. Make sure the video cable is connected to the correct port
and no other interference is on the line.
Problem:
No Audio
Solution:
Make sure the audio cables are connected properly. Make sure you turn on the
audio function in DVR and select the correct channel.
Problem:
Picture freeze in live mode
Solution:
Power OFF then ON again.
Problem:
Control buttons do not work
Solution:
Power OFF then ON again.
Problem:
Cannot Format the Hard Drive or Bad Hard Drive
Solution:
Make sure the hard drive rack is inserted properly and the key lock is turned to the
vertical position. If the problem still exists, you may need to replace your hard drive.
