Slide the supplied heat shrink over the alarm/
immobiliser connector.
Do not shrink the tubing at
this time.

Position the alarm unit and seat bridge to the frame
with the four fixings removed earlier and tighten to
15 Nm
as shown below.

Secure the wiring to the rear light harness using the
cable ties provided.

Position the excess cable in a loop as shown below.
1. Reed-switch harness (tail panel removed for clarity)
2. Cable tie

Refit the tail panel as described in the service manual.

Refit the battery as described in the service manual.
15.
Reconnect the battery, positive (red) lead first.
16.
Refit the pillion seat only.
17.
Check all functions of the alarm as detailed in the user
guide.
Note:
•
When satisfied that the alarm is functioning
correctly, the connection between the alarm unit
and the main harness must be made secure and
tamper proof with the heat shrink provided.
18.
Remove the pillion seat.
19.
Disconnect and remove the battery, negative (black)
lead first.
20. Remove the seat bridge as described earlier.

Warning
The air from a heat gun, and the heat gun itself, are very
hot. Wear suitable protective gloves and do not point the
heat gun at any part of your body as serious burns to the
skin may result.
Caution
When fitting the heat shrink, take care not to burn any
part of the wiring harness or serious damage will result to
the cable. Excessive heat will also cause the tubing to
become brittle rendering it useless.
