2.3.4 Battery Power Operation – The battery chargers on the TCR-HHR-02 are only
compatible with BB-2590 Li-Ion batteries.
To ensure a reliable power backup is available during repeater or communications system
operation, apply an external power source (AC or 24 VDC) prior to use to charge the
onboard batteries. It will take 8-10 hours to completely charge all four battery sections
(2/battery) from a completely discharged state.
Although the BB-2590 Li-Ion rechargeable batteries have a high number of
charge/discharge cycles, they should be monitored for charge maintenance over their life
time and replaced if they exhibit uncharacteristic Amp hour (6.2Amps/hour) performance
degradation.

Note: A good battery section is indicated by a flashing green CELL LED on the DC
power control module (refer to Figure 1-4). A flashing red CELL LED indicates that
the battery section has fallen below the acceptable cell voltage (approximately 11
VDC) and the battery needs to be recharged.
