General Information and Operating Instructions

PUSHBACK TRACTOR CHALLENGER550

Incorrect seat adjustment!

If the driver's seat is not set to the correct position, this may impair the person operating the CHAL-
LENGER550 and result in serious accidents.

Persons can be seriously injured or even killed because of accidents.



Check to ensure the seat is in the correct position before starting the CHALLENGER550.



Adjust the seating position of the driver's seat if necessary.

Driver's seat not locked in place!

If the driver's seat is not locked in place, it may move suddenly while driving and result in a loss of
control over the CHALLENGER550. Loss of control can lead to serious accidents.

Persons can be seriously injured or even killed because of accidents.



All locking devices for the seat should clearly be clearly heard clicking into place.

Incorrect steering wheel adjustment!

If the steering wheel is not set to the correct position, this may impair the person operating the
CHALLENGER550 and result in serious accidents.

Persons can be seriously injured or even killed because of accidents.



Check to ensure the steering wheel is in the correct position before starting the CHALLEN-
GER550.



Adjust the position of the steering wheel if necessary.

Adjustments while driving!

Adjusting the driver's seat, steering wheel, or outside mirrors while driving may cause the driver to

Never adjust the driver's seat while driving.

Never adjust the outside mirrors while driving.

When the vehicle is in motion, open cab doors can close uncontrolled and crush limbs of persons.



Make sure that all cab doors have been closed before starting to drive the CHALLEN-
GER550.
