Setting the BER Test Length
The BER (Bit Error Rate) Test is used to check the integrity
of an ISDN line. A call may be made to the number of the
other B Channel on the calling unit, a loopback box or to
another remote tester.
When you are performing a BER test you can make a
self-call,
Aurora
Plus
then automatically loops the call back on
the other B-Channel.
If two
Aurora
Plus
units are connected, and if the Loop option
is set to
OFF
, the call may be turned into a two-way BER Test
by answering the call in the BERT menu. Note that if you do
this the BER test that finishes last will have logged more
errors than the test that finished first.
