HARDWARE NEEDED
MB-1- 1/2”-13 Acorn Nut Plated- (2) MB-2- 1/2”-13 x 7” Cariage Bolt- (2)
MB-3- 1/2”-13 Hex Nut- (2) MB-12- 1/2” Split Lockwasher- (2)
MB-15- 1/2” Uss Flatwasher- (2) MB-16- 3/4” Uss Flatwasher- (2)
6.5 & 7.5 Monkey Bar Assembly
Set the Monkey Bar overhead on the deck(Fort) or line up the bottom of the Monkey Bar Overhead with the
top of the Deck(Playcenter) and insert Monkey Bar Overhead in between the Corner Post and the Center Post.
Make sure the ends of the Monkey Bar Overhead is flush with the inside of Corner Post and Center Post and
then drill (see Figure 2) thru the Monkey Bar Overhead countersinks thru the Corner Post and Center Post.
(On a playcenter swingset you will need to remove the Gusset on the Corner Post prior to drilling and then put
the Gusset back on once all the Hardware is installed and tightened.) Place a 3/4” Flatwasher over a 1/2” x 7”
Carriage Bolt and then insert thru the hole into the countersunk hole in the Monkey Bar Overhead. Place a 1/2”
Washer, 1/2” Lockwasher over the 1/2” x 7” Carriage Bolt end inside the Monkey Bar Overhead. Thread the
1/2” Hex Nut on to the 1/2”x 7” Carriage Bolt. Repeat this process on the other side. Now tighten the 1/2” Hex
Nuts, put on the 1/2” Acorn Nut and lightly tighten. Do not over tighten.
