Operating Instructions 

Remove any cover from the firepit prior to operation.  

Inspect the firepit to make sure it is free of debris or objects that may have fallen into the 
firepit prior to operation. 

Start

 

your

 

firepit

 

as

 

follows:

 

1.

 

Place

 

paper

 

and

 

kindling

 

in

 

the

 

center

 

of

 

the

 

firepit.

 

2.

 

Light

 

the

 

paper.

 

3.

 

Add

 

wood

 

to

 

the

 

flame,

 

starting

 

with

 

small

 

pieces

 

first.

 

4.

 

Add

 

wood

 

to

 

the

 

firepit

 

as

 

desired.

 

Do

 

not

 

overfill

 

the

 

firepit

 

by

 

allowing

 

wood

 

above

 

the

 

sides.

 

Maintaining Your Firepit 

Failure to inspect and maintain may lead to malfunctioning of the firepit and potentially 
dangerous situations.  

Your

 

Maverick

 

Firepit

 

is

 

designed

 

to

 

be

 

cleaned

 

and

 

maintained

 

easily.

  

 

Inspect

 

the

 

firepit

 

before

 

each

 

use.

  

 

Keep

 

the

 

firepit

 

clean,

 

and

 

remove

 

any

 

debris

 

that

 

collects

 

in

 

or

 

on

 

the

 

firepit.

  

 

The

 

firepit

 

will

 

develop

 

surface

 

rust

 

and

 

discoloration

 

over

 

time

 

 

this

 

is

 

normal.

 

Winterizing the Firepit 

In

 

areas

 

where

 

the

 

firepit

 

may

 

not

 

be

 

used

 

in

 

winter,

 

or

 

for

 

an

 

extended

 

period

 

of

 

time,

 

you

 

may

 

wish

 

to

 

cover

 

the

 

firepit.

  

After

 

a

 

period

 

of

 

storage

 

and/or

 

non

use,

 

check

 

for

 

signs

 

of

 

damage

 

and

 

creosote

 

build

up.

 

Do

 

not

 

operate

 

until

 

necessary

 

repairs

 

and/or

 

cleanup

 

are

 

executed.

 

Touching up the Paint 

This

 

firepit

 

may

 

be

 

re

painted

 

using

 

Stove

Bright

 

metallic

 

black

 

paint

 

available

 

from

 

your
