24 TPC Desktop Introduction

Installing TPC

License Manager

You manager your
license and get your
downloads on-line, in our

License Manager

(login

required).

License Types

You choose the

license

type

you want

–

subscription or
perpetual.

License Validation

Each time you run TPC,
it checks for a valid
license and displays the
license information in
several places. As you
run TPC, it will
periodically re-check the license in the background.

If a license cannot be validated, TPC will not run.

30-day Grace Period

If you have validated TPC then take your laptop into the field where there is no internet, TPC
automatically starts a 30-

day Grace Period, so you don’t miss a beat. Next time you are back in

the office or somewhere where you have internet, TPC resets the grace period so you get the full
30-days the next time it happens.

Validating TPC Desktop

Any time you run TPC prior to validating it, you will see the

Program Validation

dialog.

Enter your name and validation

key found in the License Manager’s

License

tab.

Notice the

Manage License

button in the dialog, providing you quick access to the License

Manager.
