6. Command Line Interface (CLI)

Besides Web-based management, the SISGM series also support CLI management. You can use

console or telnet to manage the switch by CLI.

CLI Management by RS-232 Serial Console (115200, 8, none, 1, none)

Before configuring RS-232 serial console, connect the RS-232 port of the switch to your PC Com

port using a RJ45 to DB9-F cable. See

RS-232 Console Port Wiring

on page

Access the CLI

Follow the steps below to access the console via RS-232 serial cable.

Step 1

: On Windows desktop, click Start -> Programs -> Accessories -> Communications ->

HyperTerminal.

Step 2

: Input a name for the new connection.
