4. Setting up
4.1
General
The manufacturer of the suspended access equip-
ment is responsible for ensuring that the device,
including the suspension construction, conforms to
the applicable standards.
Required equipment
a)
TIRAK
®
hoist(s) of correct capacity, speed and
voltage with load limiting device.
b)
Fall arrest device(s), e.g. BLOCSTOP
®
machine(s)
with at least the same capacitiy as the TIRAK
®
hoist(s) in use.
c)
TIRAK
®
wire rope with correct diameter and of
sufficient length. Also multi-purpose grease to
lubricate the rope

Electric supply cable of correct type and required
length, with correct number of wires and cross
sectional area.

Pulleys for diverting or reeving the wire rope of
sufficient strength and diameter.
Check condition of all components.
