1. The rollclamp anchor system is designed to protect
men working at heights against the serious risks of
a fall. To ensu re safe and efficient installation and
use of the equip ment, make sure you are perfectly
familiar with the informa
tion given in this manual
and that you fully understand the rules and
recommen dations given before you begin to install
or dismantle the equipment.
2. This manual must be handed over to the person in
charge of managing the rollclamp anchor point and
should be kept available to all operators, users and
installers. Additional copies can be supplied by
Tractel
®
on request. To ensure operator safety,
should the product be resold outside the first
country for which it was intended, the seller must
provide this manual in the language of the country
in which the product will be used.
3. The rollclamp anchor system is designed for use
in asso ciation with personal protective equipment
(PPE) connec
ted to it; a fall-arrest system of
this type must comprise, of a complete fall-arrest
harness EN 361, un absorbeur d’énergie EN 355,
linking equipment EN 354 and connection
equipment EN 362. All together, this equipment

must form a system able to prevent or stop any fall
from a height under conditions compliant with the
applicable regulations and standards.
4. Do not use the rollclamp anchor system if any of the
inscrip tions, as indicated at the end of this manual,
are no longer present or legible.
5. Each operator which will be using the rollclamp
anchor point must satisfy the necessary physical
and professional aptitude require ments for work at
heights. If you have any doubts, contact your
physician or your industrialmedical officer. Use of
fall-arrest PPE is prohi
bited for pregnant women.
This operator must have received, All persons using
this equipment must first have successfully comple -
ted a theoretical and practical training course under
risk-free conditions associating the PPE in com
-
pliance with the applicable safety requirements. The
training course must comprise a complete review of
the sections in this manual concerning use of the
system.
6. Make sure that the rollclamp anchoring beam is
compatible with the planned load, i.e. 10 kN per
rollclamp installed.
