5. MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS

At least annually, the mechanical and general

condition of the pallet truck should be checked by

an approved TRACTEL

repairer. Where the pallet

truck is subject to a high rate of usage or used in

conditions which are particularly dusty or subject

to the effects of chemicals, the pallet truck should

be checked more often. In case of doubt about the

condition or efficiency of the pallet truck, contact

your dealer or approved TRACTEL

repairer.

6. CHANGING THE OIL

After using a new pallet truck for one month,

replace the hydraulic oil which contains particles

coming from “running in” the machine.

CHANGING OIL PROCEDURE

How to drain the oil:

Unscrew the release plug item 30 and let the oil

drain off by smoothly operating the handle.

Unscrew the oil plug item 23 to let the air enter the

cylinder. When the oil stops to flow out, rince and

clean the circuit with some White Spirit or similar.

When the cleaning operation is over,refit the

release plug item 30.

Fill in procedure:

Fill the tank (capacity 0.50 l) with new oil throgh

the oil plug 23.

Purge procedure:

When the tank is full of oil, you need to purge

the air remaining inside the circuit. For this

operation, slightly inscrew the release plug item 30

and operate the handle smoothly in order to purge

the air. the purge operation will be completed

when oil starts to drain out from yhe release plug.

Tighten the release plug, it may be necessary to

top up the oil tank.

After draining the hydraulic unit, the oil must be

eliminated in compliance with the applicable local

legislation.

Do not discard the oil into the environment. The

old oil should be processed by recycling and

waste reclamation.
