independently by clicking on the small A(ssign) button.
The source signal an either act as unipolar or bipolar
controller, depending on the status of the Bi button.
Based on the assigned synthesis parameters, the pads can
produce subtle sound changes as well as extrem
morphings. For real-time editing, both Pad controllers can
be found in the Macros tab.
The Modifiers
Modifiers allow you to apply mathematical functions on modulation
signals. Depending on the function type selected, calculation will affect
two source signals or a source signal and a constant parameter. You
can use up to four independent modifier units. The result of each
operation is not directly audible, but is used as input source for the
modulation assignment. Moreover, you can use it as source for yet
another modifying process.

buttons to call up the corresponding
modifier section. Up to 30 different modifiers can be used for every
Layer (a sum of 120 Modifiers per sound).
•
Source
slots: Select the source signals that are used for the
calculation.
•
Operation
: Determines which kind of operation will be
performed on the selected input sources. The result of a
modifier operation always lies within the range -max...0...+max.
When it is assigned to a parameter in the Modulation Matrix, it
is scaled to the range of the selected parameter.
•
Constant
: Defines a value for modifier functions that require a
constant parameter.
•
Assign
: Click on the “Assign” button to call up the modulation
assignment for the corresponding Modifier slot. Read more
about this on page 49.
