3.1.2  Configuring the Port’s Basic MLD Snooping Features

Choose the menu 

Multicast > MLD Snooping > Port Config

 to load the following page.

Figure 3-2 

Enable MLD Snooping on Port

Enabling MLD Snooping on the Port

Follow these steps to enable or disable MLD Snooping on the port.
1)  Select the port to be configured and select 

Enable 

under the MLD Snooping column.

2)   Click

 Apply

.

(Optional) Configuring Fast Leave

With Fast Leave enabled on a port, the switch will remove this port from the forwarding 

list of the corresponding multicast group once the port receives a leave message. Once 

deleted, the switch will no longer send MASQs to this port to verify if there are other 

members of this multicast group.
Follow these steps to configure fast leave.
1)  Select the port to be configured and select 

Enable

 under the Fast Leave column.
