NOTICE
Never try to disassemble or oil any part
of the compact disc player. Do not insert
anything other than compact discs into
the slot.
8 cm (3 in) compact disc singles
The type 1 compact disc player does not
need an adaptor to play compact disc
singles. Compact disc singles are about 8 cm
(3 in) in diameter—smaller than standard
discs. These discs must not be played in type
2 players.
NOTICE
Do not use an adaptor for compact disc
singles
—
it could cause tracking errors
or interfere with the ejection of compact
discs.
COMPACT DISC PLAYER WITH CHANGER
(TYPE 2)
When you insert a disc, press the “LOAD”
[18] button and gently push the disc in with
the label side up. The player with changer will
play from track 1 through to the end of the
disc. Then it will play from track 1 of the next
disc.
The player with changer is intended for use
with 12 cm (4.7 in) discs only.
NOTICE

Do not stack up two discs for inser-
tion, or it will cause damage to the
compact disc player with changer. In-
sert only one compact disc into slot
at a time.

TERMS
Packet write—
This is a general term that describes the pro-
cess of writing data on-demand to CD-R, etc.,
in the same way that data is written to floppy
or hard discs.
ID3 Tag—
This is a method of embedding track-related
information in an MP3 file. This embedded
information can include the track title, the ar-
tist’s name, the album title, the music genre,
the year of production, comments and other
data. The contents can be freely edited using
software with ID3 tag editing functions. Al-
though the tags are restricted to the number
of characters, the information can be viewed
when the track is played back.
