8 - Cleaning & Care
Removing the Grill Plates:
1. This unit is equipped with removable grill plates, for easy and convenient
cleaning.
2. To release the top grilling plate, press the release button on the lip of the grill,
underneath the handle. To release the bottom grilling plate, press the release
button on the lower left-hand side of the unit, near the bottom lip. The grilling
plates will automatically detach themselves from the main body of the unit.
Note:
Refer to the parts image above for the exact location of each plate release
button.
3. Once the plates have detached from the unit, gently pull them up and away
from the main body of the grill to remove them completely.
4. To place the plates back into position on the body of the grill, align the two
small crevices located at the back of each grilling plate with the corresponding
rubber brackets on the appliance. Push the grill plates into these then press
down to secure them into place. Ensure the plate is correctly fitted and
secured onto the main body of the unit before attempting to use the grill.
Cleaning the Unit:
1. Unplug the unit and wait for it to cool off before cleaning.
2. If required, remove the grilling plates, as instructed above.
3. Wipe the non-stick coated plates with paper towels or soft cloth.
4. Wipe the body of the grill with a damp cloth.
5. Remove and wash the oil drip tray with soap and water.
6. Do not use abrasive materials to avoid scratches.
Note:
The grill plates are NOT dishwasher-safe. DO NOT clean the grill plates in
the dishwasher.
IMPORTANT:
Allow the unit to dry fully after cleaning before using it again.
Do not use the appliance if it is damp. Ensure the grill is completely clean and dry
before storing.
Storage:
To store your appliance:
1. Unplug the power cord from the power outlet and clean as instructed.
2. Allow the appliance to dry fully.
3. Store on a flat, dry level surface out of reach of children.
