Positioning the Grill:

WARNING!

DO NOT place the Grill against a wall or against other appliances. Leave

at least 10cm free space on the back and sides and 10cm free space above the

appliance.

1.  This grill can be used in either its regular position, with a lid, or laid flat, as an

open grill.

2.  To lay the grill flat, pull the handle towards you and then press the button

located on the side of the grill handle, ensuring that the button is fully pushed

in. With the button pressed, pull the grill top forward towards you, then push it

gently backwards until it is roughly horizontal to the counter-top. The button at

the side of the handle can then be released.

Note:

Ensure the release button is pressed all the way down. Partially or loosely

pressing this button may prevent the grill from folding out to a fully horizontal

position.

3.  To return the grill top to a vertical position, pull it firmly towards you from the

flat, horizontal position. The grill plate will automatically click into place and

the release button will return to its original, de-pressed position to indicate the

unit is securely upright.

Note:

When laid flat, the grill can only be used in Manual mode. Smart mode is

not available when the grill is in this position.

Turning the Unit On and Off:

1.  To turn the grill on, begin by plugging it into an active mains socket. There will

be a sound prompt and all the indicators on the unit’s LCD screen and control

panel will light up at once to indicate the unit has been plugged in.

2.  Once the appliance is plugged in, press the On/Off button to turn it on. There

will be a sound prompt and a colour sequence will begin to flash on the unit’s

LCD control panel to indicate the unit has been turned on. This is the prompt

to select the desired cooking pre-set, as detailed in the section below.

3.  Press this button again while the unit is in operation to turn it off. There will be

a sound prompt and the unit’s control panel will go out to indicate the unit has

been turned off.

Quick Start:

1.  To start a quick cooking section, plug the unit into the mains and press the On/

Off button to turn it on. There will be a sound prompt and all the indicators on

the unit’s LCD screen and control panel will light up at once and begin to flash

in sequence.

2.  Once the unit is in operation, press any of the pre-set buttons on the unit’s

control panel to select a quick cooking program,There will be a sound prompt

and all the lights on the unit’s control panel except for the blue pre-heating

light will go out. This indicates the unit is pre-heating. Alternatively, press

the  ‘M’ button to select Manual mode.  The indicators will continue to flash in

sequence, but the grill plates will begin to heat up to indicate Manual mode

has been selected.
