Ethernet Connection
Desktop ActiveSync
versions from version 4.0
upwards do not support
Ethernet connections. To
use ActiveSync with the
Hawk II via Ethernet, you
must use ActiveSync version
3.7 or 3.8.
To achieve an ActiveSync
connection via Ethernet: -
Ensure you have
configured ActiveSync on
your desktop PC to allow
Ethernet connections: -
There must already
exist a partnership between
the Hawk II and desktop
PC. This can be created as described earlier (via serial port
[or USB]
), or
using the TSSync utility, described later.
Ensure that the
desktop PC and the
Hawk II are connected
to the same Ethernet network. The Hawk II Ethernet connection is
confirmed by observing the associated icon in the System Tray (you may
need to scroll the icons to shift into view): -
