Wake-Up
The SLEEP mode is a safety feature which maintains the flow records but discontinues flow
measurement calculations. When the
µ
FLO is in the SLEEP mode the word SLEEP is displayed on the
µ
FLO along with the date and time the unit went to sleep. If
µ
FLO battery voltage falls below 11VDC,
µ
FLO enters SLEEP mode after 2 minutes. If the voltage coming in to the board, through an AC adapter
perhaps, is too high, this will also cause the unit to enter the SLEEP mode.
If battery voltage is still below 10.9 VDC, when you disconnect locally, the
µ
FLO returns to SLEEP mode
after 2 minutes. If battery voltage is above 11VDC,
µ
FLO remains awake.
The
µ
FLO has a "real time clock" which maintains time and date during the SLEEP mode and writes an
event record when entering and leaving the SLEEP mode.
Upon wake-up, the
µ
FLO performs the following functions:
•
Stores present calculation periods accumulations in historical record,
•
Zeros present calculation periods accumulations and
•
End current daily record and start new daily record.
Instructions
Step Procedure
In the following procedure, the common name for a component or it’s jumper
number if available (abbreviated J) or part is followed by a number in
parentheses. This refers to the call out item number referenced on each drawing.
1.
Connect locally to the
µ
FLO. This should WAKE-UP the unit for you to determine the
cause.
2. Check external charging source, to ensure it is providing the proper
voltage to
µ
FLO. If the external charging source is a solar panel, you
may need to clean the solar cell surface.
3. Check battery pack cable. It must make a good secure electrical
connection with
µ
FLO 2100767 Board BAT CONN connector J6
(Figure 4–5, Item 3).
4. If battery pack cable is securely connected, check battery pack voltage.
If voltage is low, replace with another battery pack.
