4.7 Keyboard

4 Replacement Procedures

Installing the keyboard

The following describes the procedure for installing the keyboard. (See Figure 4-9.)

1. Put the keyboard on the palm rest as its face is down. Connect

the keyboard flexible

cable

CN3230

on the system board and lock the connector.

Caution: 1. When replacing the keyboard with new one, adhere a sheet of insulator to

the back of keyboard in the position shown in the following figure.
2. Do not reuse the insulator adhered on the keyboard. Be sure to use new
one.

2. Hook the bottom edge of the keyboard to the palm rest. Place the

keyboard

on the

computer and secure it with the following
