7.2. Picture Quality
The following faulty symptoms should not be recognized for all the signal inputs with
commercial DVD player, and related equipment source.

Cross Hatch Pattern -Ring The unit under test should
perform at least as well as

including ring effect/over
shoot/smear/jittery edges.
Compare to the Benchmark
sample.

3 Color Bar
-Color Distortion
Every color should
distinguished.
Fail: whether there are
color, beat and spark line
noises on the picture.

Every gray level should
distinguished.
Fail: any beat noise, spark
line noise and color noise
on picture.
-Gamma Distortion
5 Input/Channel Change
-Unstable Picture
Noise(Picture Garbage)
Image should stay stable,
and should not have noise
(picture garbage).
Fail: if image become
flickers, or Noise.
