Before exiting Setup, follow the instructions in the

Making A Password

Service Disk

section to make a password service disk. If the customer

forgets his/her password, he/she can use the Password Service Disk to
unlock password protection.

(2) How to Reset/Disable the Password

To reset or disable the password, follow these steps:

(a)

Press the space bar

(b) Enter the currently registered password and press

Enter

character string you enter is displayed as a string of asterisks.

If the character string you enter matches the registered password, the
password option is reset and the display change to:

If they do not match, the following message appears along with a
beep indicating you must repeat Step (b).

(3) Making a Password Service Disk

You must generate a new Password Service Disk each time you set a new
password, even if you register a password that you have previously
saved to a Password Service Disk. To make the Password Service Disk,
prepare a formatted 3.5-inch 2DD floppy disk and follow the steps
below. Note that any data on the disk

will be erased

Set the password as described in the previous section.

(b) Insert a 3.5-inch 2DD floppy disk into Drive A.
