Executing the Diagnostic Test

Toshiba MS-DOS is required to run the T4900CT’s Diagnostics Test Program.  To start the
Diagnostics Test Program follow these steps:

1.

Turn on the computer, and allow the computer to boot.  Insert the T4900CT
Diagnostics Disk in the computer’s internal floppy disk drive.

2.

At the system prompt, change to drive A and type 

TEST4900

, and press 

Enter

.

The following menu will appear:

If the following message appears on the screen, open the computer’s
CONFIG.SYS file.

Cannot execute in a virtual 8086 mode.

The computer’s CONFIG.SYS file will have an expanded memory manager such
as EMM386.EXE, EMM386.SYS, or QEMM386.SYS.  Remove it or use the
REM command to ignore it.  Restart the DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAM.

If the following message appears on the screen the program is not used for the
T4900CT.

Incompatible machine type,
This TEST program is for the TOSHIBA TXXXX.

Change the Diagnostic disk to the correct one.  Restart the Diagnostics Test
Program.
