nstalling the Speaker, Upper System Board, and Power Supply Board

To install the T4900CT’s speaker, upper system board, and power supply board, follow the
steps below and refer to figures 4-25 through 4-27.

Connect the

power supply board

to the

upper system board

(figure 4-27).

Turn the

upper system board

over and place it on the lower system board (figure

4-26).

Align the

two joint connectors

(

PJ11

and

PJ12

), then gently press the upper

system board to connect them (figure 4-26).

Connect the mouse's

FPC connector

PJ13

(figure 4-26).

Connect the

power/reset cable

PJ7

on the upper system board and secure it

with

tape

(figure 4-26).

Seat the

speaker holder

in place. Fit

two pins

on the holder into holes in the

computer. Position the

speaker

in the holder so that it lies flush with the top of the

holder and connect the

speaker cable

PJ14

on the upper system board.

Wrap the

speaker cable

so that it does not lie on top of sharp projections from the

lower board connector and secure it with tape.

Set the

FDD metal cover

right hinge cover,

and

upper system board cover

place (figure 4-25).

Secure the

upper system board cover

with

five M2.5x6 screws

and set the

left

hinge cover

, then apply the

tape

(figure 4-25).

Secure the

two M2.5x6 screws

on the FDD cover.

11.

Install the display assembly, backup battery, microphone, status indicator panel,
keyboard, top cover, HDD pack, optional PCMCIA card, optional memory card,
and battery pack as described in sections 4.10 back through 4.2.
