DSS Port

The

DSS Port

field corresponds to the “physical” port number of a Strata DK station. This

field enables the Stratagy DK to monitor the Busy Lamp field of a DSS console port to
determine if the station is busy before attempting to transfer.
Due to the Strata DK architecture, only 58 stations can be monitored. User IDs without a
DSS Port setting will transfer calls in the normal fashion.

Important!

If the dss_active parameter in the install.cfg file is set to false, this field is

disabled.

Examples:

◆

For User ID 200, if station 200/Port 000 is programmed under the first key of the
DSS/BLF console, the value entered into the DSS Port must be 0.

◆

For User ID 210, if station 210/Port 010 is programmed under the second key of the
DSS/BLF console, the value entered into the DSS Port must be 1.

Possible values: 0 ~ 57, -1 disables feature
Default: -1 (disabled)

Important!

Once the DSS/Busy Lamp feature has been programmed using the two

parameters and the DSS Port field, Stratagy DK must be re-started two times.
The first re-start configures the DSS parameters/field. The second re-start
“loads” the DSS parameters/field into active memory.

All other Users Menu, Auto (Scheduling), and Notify screens remain unchanged.
