Grasp the module and pull it out.
Do not touch the connectors on the memory module or on the computer.
Debris on the connectors may cause memory access problems.

Install the modem board, then rotate the keyboard back into place and
secure the keyboard brace as described in the previous section.
5.
Turn the computer upside down and replace the battery pack.
Additional battery pack
You can increase the portability of the computer with additional battery
packs (PA2487U). If you’re away from an AC power source and your
battery runs low, you can replace it with a freshly charged battery. See
Chapter 6,
Power and Power-Up Modes .
Additional AC adaptor
If you frequently transport the computer between different sites such as
your home and office, purchasing an AC adaptor (PA2450U) for each
location will reduce the weight and bulk of your carrying load.
Battery charger
The battery charger (PA2488U) provides a convenient way to charge battery
packs without requiring the use of your computer. The battery charger holds
up to two Lithium-ion battery packs, which it charges one after the other in
succession. Charging time is about 3.0 hours per battery.
Parallel printer
You can connect any standard Centronics-compatible parallel printer to
your computer. All you need is an IBM PC™ parallel printer cable. Your
dealer can supply one or you can purchase one at most computer stores.
The cable’s connectors are designed so that it is impossible for you to
connect them incorrectly. To connect a printer, follow these steps:
1.
Turn off the computer.
2.
Insert one end of the cable into the computer’s parallel port.
3.
Tighten the screws that fasten the cable connector to the computer’s
parallel port.
4.
Insert the other end of the cable into the printer’s parallel connector.
5.
Fasten the connector to the printer with the clips on the parallel port.
6.
Turn on the printer.
7.
Turn on the computer.
