1.4.1 DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW Drive

The DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive accommodates either 12 cm (4.72-inch) or 8 cm (3.15-
inch) CD, CD-R/RW and DVD. It is a high-performance drive that reads DVD at maximum
8-speed, and reads CD at maximum 24-speed (3,600 KB per second). It writes CD-R at up
24- speed and CD-RW at up to 24-speed.

The DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive is shown in Figure 1-4. The dimensions and
specifications of the DVD-ROM & CD-R/RW drive are described in Table 1-3, Table 1-4.
