Rear Panel Connections The rear panel connectors and indicators are described below.
AC power - Each of the two power supply modules has an AC power cord
connector. Refer to
Figure 2-5 .
• Keyboard and PS/2 Mouse
• USB 0 and USB 1
• COM1
• VGA
• LAN1 and LAN2
• IPMI LAN
Rear Panel Button There is a UID LED and button on the rear panel to the right of the LAN 2
connector.

EM SERVER POWER
SUPPLIES The IP edge EM Server has dual redundant power supplies. In the event
of a power supply failure the failed supply will go off-line, the surviving
supply will supply all of the power and allow the system to continue
operation without interruption.
IPMI FRU Address The power supply module IPMI FRU addresses are 72 and 70. The
modules, as viewed from the rear of the chassis 70 (binary 1110 000) on
the right, 72 (binary 1110 001) on the left or outside.
Power Supply Failure If either of the power supply modules fail, the Universal Information (UID)
LED on the control panel will blink slowly to indicate a failed power supply
module. The UID LED will continue to blink until the failed module has
been replaced. Also, the power supply LED, on the rear panel will change
from green to amber on the failed unit. The failed unit will issue a
continuous beep tone. The power supply modules have a hot-swap
capability, you can replace the failed module without powering down the
system.
