Troubleshooting table
Refer to the following checklist to troubleshoot simple problems that may occur during TV operation. If the problem still exists
after you try out the possible solutions, consult your local dealer or service outlet for assistance. Check that all connections are
properly made when using the TV with another equipment.

TV/DVD does not operate.
• Make sure the power cord is plugged in, and then press

• Try another AC outlet.
• Unplug the power cord and then plug it back in.
• The remote control batteries may be dead. Replace the batteries or try the
control panel buttons.

TV broadcast reception
No picture, no sound.
• Switch on the TV.
• Check that the mains power outlet is properly connected.
• Select appropriate input mode.
• Unplug the TV for one minute, and then plug it back in.

No reception.
• Have you tuned in the TV stations?
• Connect the antenna.
• Make sure the TV is ON and not in standby mode.

The TV switches off with
missing antenna input signal.
• 15 minutes after the antenna signal have disappeared, the TV will change to
standby mode. This is normal.

The
Channel
menu cannot be
accessed in the Main Menu
screen.
• The TV is not set to ATV/DTV mode.

Wrong Colors.
• Color and Brightness errors can occur when the viewing angle/ambient air
temperature (see technical specifications) are exceeded.

There is sound but no picture
when viewing a DVB (digital)
channel.
• Some channels offer audio content only.

Blocky image or image stops
intermittently.
• Check all antenna connections.
• Move the antenna away from areas of possible interference.
• Try using an antenna booster.

Some digital channels cannot
be viewed.
• Contact the service provider to subscribe.

“Database empty” message
appears on the screen.
• Check all antenna connections and try auto tuning again.

TV shuts off.
• The sleep timer has been activated.
• There is power interruption.

• Set your preferred language.

Disc playback
The playback picture has
occasional distortion.
• The disc is dirty. Eject the disc and clean it.
• Sometimes a small amount of picture distortion may appear. This is not a
malfunction.

Playback does not start.
• No disc is inserted. Insert a disc.
• An unplayable disc is inserted. Insert a playable disc (Check the disc type and
color system).
• Place the disc in the disc slot with the label side facing forward.
• The disc is dirty. Clean the disc.
• Cancel the parental lock function or change the parental lock level.
